ServicePorte ("we," "us," or "the Platform") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use ServicePorte's storefronts, payments, order management, QR ordering, vendor discovery, and logistics services as a Merchant, Customer, partner, or visitor. This Policy is issued in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and other applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, phone number, business details, and login credentials. Verification information: Identity documents and business registration details used to confirm Merchant eligibility.

Transaction information: Order history, payment confirmations, and amounts, processed via licensed Payment Partners.

Location information: Delivery addresses and location data used for logistics and QR ordering. Device & usage information: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and platform activity logs. Communications: Messages exchanged through ServicePorte's messaging or support channels.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage Merchant and Customer accounts
  • To process orders, payments, and settlements through licensed Payment Partners
  • To coordinate deliveries with third-party Logistics Partners
  • To operate QR ordering and vendor discovery features
  • To verify identity, prevent fraud, and enforce our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service
  • To provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • To improve, secure, and maintain the Platform
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, and law enforcement obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the NDPA, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you (such as fulfilling an order), compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform, provided such interests do not override your fundamental rights.

5. How We Share Information

Payment Partners: Licensed providers who process transactions on ServicePorte. Logistics Partners: Third-party delivery providers, where a Merchant opts into ServicePorte Logistics.

Merchants and Customers: Limited order and contact details necessary to fulfill a transaction.

Regulators and law enforcement: Where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ServicePorte, its users, or the public.

Service providers: Vendors who support hosting, analytics, and customer support, under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Transaction and verification records may be retained for the period required under applicable Nigerian financial and tax regulations. Data is securely deleted or anonymized once retention is no longer necessary.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption, access controls, and secure storage, to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Requests can be made through ServicePorte's official support channels. We will respond within the timeframe required under the NDPA.

ServicePorte uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and analyze platform usage. You may control cookie settings through your browser or device, though disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

10. Children's Privacy

ServicePorte is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor's data has been collected without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside Nigeria, such as to service providers operating abroad, we ensure such transfers comply with the NDPA, including verifying that the recipient country provides an adequate level of data protection or that appropriate safeguards are in place.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, including those of Payment and Logistics Partners. This Policy does not apply to third-party practices, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use of ServicePorte after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
